日治時期興建的市政廳舍，是台中市最具代表性的歷史建築之一，融合了日式與歐式元素的和洋折衷式建築，展現出優雅的巴洛克風華，墨黑色的中央圓頂、搭配碩大的羅馬古典柱，凸顯建築的壯麗氣派，現今為市定古蹟並轉型為充滿古典韻味的藝文展覽空間。
